As most of you know the new MP3 has been well received by almost everyone that rides it, and the people that don't like have either never driven one, or they were expecting something else and it's just not their style, and that's fine. I have few thoughts and reflections after over 500mi of riding it myself. First, The MP3 is not a long distance cruiser, period. It's not because the engine is not willing or because the seat is not comfortable, it's because you just need more cc's to travel at sustained high speeds. I have taken the MP3 on longer trips in the country, 55-65 mph is stable and comfortable, speeds above that are attainable but your really revving the engine and just killing your gas mileage. High gas mileage is one of the biggest benefits a 250cc scooter has to offer. Many people have said just shove a bigger motor in it. It's really not that easy, consider the wheel sizes we are dealing with. This scooter does weigh 450lbs and with that weight comes a stable and predictable ride, crosswinds have little effect compared some other bikes, But with that amount of weight acceleration at high speeds is effected and this is the only downside I have found. The weight is centered low in the frame and all of that weight just melts away once your moving. If you want a highway cruiser check out the X9 or the BV500.
However you will not find another scooter or motorcycle that is as capable in adverse conditions, wet and slick roads are no match for this thing. In town or out on this scooter comes into it's own and is truly in a class by itself. The MP3's excellent grip and strong brakes are confidence inspiring, performance is not about all out speed or acceleration. Another feature that I just love is the storage, you can't appreciate the storage until you go without it for a day. After using this scooter this much I'm still torn between the MP3 and Vespa GTS for the my favorite scooter. The MP3 for the technology and attention getting, sometime near accident causing uniqueness or the GTS for it's performance and simplicity. It's a toss up, however I did ride the new Vespa LXV and had a ton a fun. I guess more time is needed to make a good decision. You should stop in and test ride all three, I could use your help deciding.

MP3 open house, April 19th-29th
Save the date of Saturday April 21st , we plan on having demo rides and some snacks. If the weather is nice maybe take a group ride. I know today's snowfall really hurts deep down for everyone that wants to ride, but you know that warmer weather is on the way.

It's Here!
Save the date; April 21st! This will be the grand opening of the new store and this date also coincides with the nation open house for the new MP3. We just got a demo model in today and I got to ride it in the rain. What a great opportunity to test the true ability of the system. All I can say is that is works, better then I expected. I went through corners like it was dry out, no slip, no slide just traction. Only one problem people stopping you and asking how to pronounce Piaggio. Come out and test drive when you get a chance, you will be impressed. As good as the MP3 is, I still enjoy two wheels....a lot, don't sell your Vespa, buy both.
On another note, inside construction is done on the new showroom. The outside fix up will commence when the frost is out of the ground. Feel free to stop by and see the new digs.
Also give us a call to set up or spring service on the scoot, don't wait until the first nice day to ride, it's too late.

Almost....
Over the last weekend we received 14" on snow at the new store but construction continues, and the finish line is in site. The lights are up and the bathroom is finished, the desk is also in place. As the pictures show it's looking great! All thats left is minor details; final painting, trim and lighting. The sign is also up on the outside which looks great at night, very bright, and once the large tree in front has been moved it will be clearly seen from the road.

In other news the new GTV has arrived and I will post picture when we bring it over from storage. On the MP3 front the buzz is still building and we will be participating in the national open house on April 19th. There will be a demo unit and test rides will be available. This date will also most likely coinside with our open house for the new store. Look here and on the main page for updates.
Enjoy the snow, think spring!

Construction Update
Soon, very soon. Construction has been continuing at a brisk place and it's turning out great, as the pictures show. The floors have been finished and most of the trimming is done. Soon it will be brimming with scoots and then hopefully customers. There will be a sitting area and plenty of room to sit on and walk around the scooters.
A lot of the Vespa dealerships have the scoots crammed in so close that you have to pull them out to sit on them, we wanted the opposite. As with all construction projects time schedules have been longer then planned, and costs have grown, but if the finished
product looks this good it's worth the wait.
Enjoy the ride and think Spring!

MP3 BUZZ!

As many of you know and the few of you that don't soon will, Piaggio has a new model coming out called the MP3. As you can see from the pictures the new scoot has two front wheels. Which means better stability and control in all situations. But the best part is you still ride it like a two-wheeler. Visit the link to see videos of this machine in action. We got a chance to ride the MP3 and it's everything we hoped for and more. It has lots of storage and good wind protection, plus the motor is the same as used in the Vespa GTS, it's got good power and reliability.

Jeff stands at 5'5" just to give you a reference point on the size of the MP3. Most of the pictures make the scooter look bigger than it is but really it's sized just right. This model will be in our showroom hopefully by mid-march, and we already have some deposits taken but there will be units available for test rides and sale. MSPR is set at 7000.00 plus shipping, taxes and fees. Reserve yours today!
